Cliff's Construction, led by Dwight Cliff Sr. since 1995, had a reputation built one job at a time — in the field, on-site, word of mouth. Near West Horizon — two new affordable homes at 1401 and 1407 N. Pershing Ave., built through the City's Vacant to Vibrant pilot program. Mayor Joe Hogsett personally unveiled the finished homes.
Southport — the first affordable home built inside Southport city limits, a partnership with the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership (INHP) and the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority. Beyond the Focus Indy was there for the groundbreaking.
"From Dirt to Doors" follows an end-to-end duplex build across a full 12-episode arc — site prep, foundation, framing, mechanical systems, interior finishes, final walkthrough. Every episode answers one thing a homeowner actually needs to know.
Alongside it, a second documentary follows a front porch renovation with an attached garage addition, built to connect seamlessly to the home instead of sitting apart from it. Same care, smaller scale, same proof.
The civic partnerships and the documentary series sit on top of a much broader body of work. In 2025 alone: a finished accessory dwelling unit, a two-story new build, a primary bathroom renovation, a basement renovation, and more — each one adding to a growing library of evidence that the craftsmanship holds up every time.
